Overview
About this service.
Flu season runs from October, and the vaccine takes about two weeks to work, so booking early keeps you covered when cases rise.
If you are 65 or over, pregnant, a carer, or living with a long-term condition such as asthma, diabetes or heart disease, your vaccination is free with us on the NHS. If you are not eligible, you can have the same vaccine privately.
Appointments take about fifteen minutes including the few minutes we ask you to wait afterwards, and walk-ins are usually possible during the campaign.
Your appointment
What to expect.
A clear, unhurried appointment shaped around you, no surprises, no rushed decisions.
- Duration: 15 minutes including a short wait after the injection.
- Cost: free if you are NHS eligible, otherwise a fixed private fee.
- What happens: eligibility and health check, vaccination, brief observation.
Appointments usually available this week.
