About this service.
High blood pressure has no symptoms, which is why it is often found by accident. If you are over 40 and have not had a reading in the last five years, this free NHS check takes about fifteen minutes.
We take a reading in the pharmacy. If it is raised, we send you home with a 24-hour monitor so we get a true picture across a normal day rather than a one-off number taken while you were rushing in.
Results go to your GP, so if treatment is needed the conversation has already started before you pick up the phone.
